Save Time by Creating and Sharing New Contacts Directly from Gmail!



Imagine getting an email and you want to add all the recipients and the sender of that email as your contacts. Now, you will copy each email address, considering it is not a Google Group, and create a new contact in your Google Contacts manager, so you have them saved in your Gmail or Google Workspace (previously known as G Suite). You will do it for each contact!

Prerequisite: Before we get to the steps, you need to make sure that you have the Gmail Add-on of Shared Contacts. You can install it by clicking here.

Now, let’s walk you through the steps which literally take seconds to create contacts directly from Gmail thanks to Shared Contacts for Gmail!


1. First, click on the Shared Contacts for Gmail icon on the right side of your Gmail mailbox.


2. Open your desired email, from where you need to add/create the contact.


3. You will see the email of sender and recipient(s) on the panel on the right side. Click on the checkbox for all contacts you want to save and add them to the label.


4. You can create a new label or add them in an existing label and hit Save. Once added, your contact will automatically be synced to your Google Contacts.


Sharing Your Newly Created Contact(s): You can also share the contact labels from Gmail with a few clicks. Simply follow the steps below!


1. Click on the share icon on your desired contact label.


2. Click on Add Participant, enter the email address of the person you want to share the label with, hit Add and click on the Share button, as shown below!
